This video shows you how to create posts, including changing the permalinks, and using the page toolbar. Hyperlinking text in your content is also covered.

Tags are keywords and phrases that you have added into your posts and pages that you would like the search engines to rank your for. You can then add in these keywords as tags in the tags section for each post or page. If you have problems about what keywords to use we show you where you can go and find these words.

Comments

Firstly you need to decide whether you are going to have comments on your site, if being used as a website then probably you will want to turn off the comments, I show you how to do this at the end of the video. A lot of people find that WordPress comments can get a lot of spam and way of eleviating this is to add a plugin and use Facebook comments which seem to work better in this case.

Themes

There are hundreds of free themes you can use within the WordPress platform discover where you preview and install. A couple of really good free themes that I have used in the past one is Mantra and the other is Parabola, both have great options to customize most of the site. Try them out and let me know what you think. I have also included some links to sites where you can purchase paid themes. These may suit you better.

Menu

Create menus within your theme including custom menu tabs for external links

Plugins & Widgets

Widgets are elements that you can place into certain areas of your theme, you can also add in HTML code into a text widget so anything is possible. The plugin area is where all your plugins would sit whether paid or free.

Users

This is where you can add other users this could be a VA who would look after your site, or even subscribers to certain content. Once they are added in you can choose what role they have on your site.
